As the Associate Pastor at GT Church, you will encourage and equip the adults of the church by connecting them to authentic, biblical community where they can experience spiritual growth, accountability, and care. This role is tasked with developing replicable processes and recruiting and building teams that will enable others to take the next step on their faith journey. We are looking for someone who is a relatable communicator, a proven and energetic team-builder, process-oriented, strategically minded, and passionate about discipleship and life change.
- Provide general pastoral care including pre-marital counseling, marriage ceremonies, and general pastoral appointments
- Create and oversee a strategy that connects and engages married couples to the life of the church, including 1-2 marriage events per year
- Recruit, care for, and develop marriage, financial and discipleship coaches
- Provide oversight for the GT security volunteer team
- Plan and coordinate strategic men’s events (2x per year)
- Recruit, equip, and care for volunteer teams and leaders
- Raise up coach level leaders to assist in leading and caring for volunteers
- Provide pastoral oversight to all GT adult water baptism services
- Collaborate with the benevolence team in fulfilling benevolence requests and leading volunteer financial mentors
- Work with the Discipleship Team to help coordinate and execute church-wide connection events (ie GroupLink, ServeLink, men's/women's events, etc)
Qualifications
- Dynamic and experienced team-builder who is passionate about recruiting and training volunteer leaders
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- A clear calling into full time ministry with a passion for adult ministry
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Solid work ethic and ability to self-motivate, effectively prioritize, and multi-task
- Team-player with the ability to create systems/standard operating procedures
- Church credential holder or seeking credentialing
- Believes, supports, and teaches the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God
- Past experience in adult coaching ministries or marriage ministries is a plus
