Part-Time Housekeeping Manager

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a clean and welcoming facility by performing custodial duties at GT Church. This role also serves to lead the GT Housekeeping staff and provide administrative support to this area. Additionally, this position will work to recruit and develop a team of housekeeping volunteers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide custodial services to GT Church. Duties may vary based on ministry demand and could include: general cleaning, bathroom care, dusting, window washing and vacuuming
  • Lead and provide direction to the housekeeping staff team
  • Order housekeeping supplies
  • Collaborate with the housekeeping team to cover cleaning as need arises
  • Create an environment that recruits, develops, and cares for volunteers that are part of the housekeeping team
  • Coordinate appreciation for volunteers

Qualifications

  • Must possess motor coordination skills such as: ability to stand, bend, stoop, grasp, and walk for an extended period of time
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Must be flexible, working hours based on ministry schedules
  • Basic computer skills, including composing and sending email
  • Strong time-management skills; a self-motivator
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity
  • Experience in volunteer recruitment or team building
  • Positive, teachable spirit
  • Valid PA driver’s license
  • Previous experience in management or in a custodial, cleaning, or housekeeping role is preferred
